Achievements of IGNOU RC Varanasi Students
1. Ms. Nikita Srivastava (185099989, MSO) selected in Uttar Pradesh PCS with 15th rank and got Dy Superintendent of Police post.
2. Ms. Tripathi Dhawan (Enrollment number 158354777)secured First position in the Slogan Writing competition organized by the School of Continuing Education as a part of “Poshan Maah 2023” from 1st to 30th September 2023.
3. Hemant Singh (MBA)received “Best Innovation and Startup Award” at the IGNOU HQrs on 19.11.2023 (IGNOU Foundation Day) for the method of seed ball broadcasting drone system.
Organizing and participating in the Job Fair
1. IGNOU Regional Centre Varanasi organized a Campus Placement Drive on 21st September 2019 (Saturday). Innovesource (hiring for SBI Card & Bank of Baroda Credit Card), Tikona, School Mitra, and Seshmani Info Solutions participated in the drive. We sent SMS notifications to 967 graduates of the BA (Eng Hons), MA (English), BCOM, MCOM, BCA, MCA, MBA, and BSc programmes.
2. Students from the IGNOU Regional Centre, Varanasi participated in the “Kashi Saansad Rozgar Mela-2023” on 12.12.2023 in Varanasi. A total of 318 national and multinational companies attended this job fair to offer positions to graduate and postgraduate students. Some prominent multinational companies that offered jobs include Mankind Pharma, Dixon Technologies, L&T Financial Holdings, ICICI Bank, JK Tyres, and Sunrise Placement Services. The IGNOU Regional Centre, Varanasi sent SMS messages with a registration link to 2,793 students to encourage participation in this event for job interviews.
3. A campus placement eventwas organized by the Regional Centre Varanasi on April 28th and 29th, 2023. Students participated in various stages of interviews, and ultimately, 34 students were selected for different positions, including Chief Operations Executive, Relationship Manager, Field Sales Executive, Web Developer, and Process Executive. The highest number of selections was made for ICICI Bank.
4. The Regional Centre Varanasi participated in the two-day “Kashi Saansad Rozgar Mela-2025,” organized by the Varanasi district administration on January 4th and 5th, 2025, at ITI Karaundi, Varanasi. A total of 371 national and multinational companies participated in this job fair to offer jobs to graduate and postgraduate students. Some prominent multinational companies that offered jobs include V K Enterprises Haryana, MRF Gujarat, United Young India, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Varanasi, HDFC Bank, TATA AIG, Dixon Tech. Pvt. Ltd, L&T Construction, Mahindra CIE & Kiran Fero Gujarat, Lava International Noida, and Satya Micro Capital Ltd, JK Wall Putty. Students from the IGNOU Regional Centre Varanasi participated in this “Kashi Saansad Rozgar Mela-2025.” The Regional Centre Varanasi sent SMS messages with a registration link to 6,591 students to encourage participation in this event for job interviews.
