PROFILE:

Dr. Upendra Nabh Tripathi holds a Masters Degree in Botany with specialization in Mycology. He qualified the CSIR–JRF(NET) in 2003 and was promoted to SRF in 2006. He has carried extensive research work on survey of Macrofungal flora of Allahabad and adjoining areas and completed his Ph.D in Botany from University of Allahabad in 2009. Dr. Tripathi has published 21 Research Paper sin International and national Journals. He has also taught at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level in Department of Botany, University of Allahabad from 2004 to 2007 and from 2010 to 2011.

Dr. Tripathi joined IGNOU as an Assistant Regional Director in 2011. Presently he is posted at Varanasi Regional Centre of the University. Also as an empanelled Academic Counsellor in B.Sc., Diploma in Dairy Technology and PG Diploma in Food Safety and Quality Management Programmes, he provides academic support to the learners in the area of Life Science and Food Microbiology.

Apart from his expertise in Botany, Dr. Tripathi has Post Graduation in Public Administration also, and active interest in Defence Studies.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Dr. Upendra Nabh Tripathi has taught at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level in Department of Botany, University of Allahabad from 2004 to 2007 as CSIR(UGC) Research Fellow and from 2010 to 2011 as Guest Faculty.
Dr. Tripathi joined IGNOU on 24th May, 2011 as Assistant Regional Director and presently working as Regional Director at Regional Centre Varanasi.
